James Lawless is a Fianna Fáil politician, and Teachta Dála (TD) for the Kildare North constituency, elected at the 2016 general election, on his first attempt.
He has been a member of Kildare County Council since 2014.[1]
Whilst a member of Kildare County Council, James served as Mayor of Naas prior to his election to Dáil Eireann.
In May 2016 James was appointed by the party leader Micheál Martin TD as Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Science, Technology, Research and Development. He is a member of the Energy & Communications Oireachtas Committee.
