History

Established in 2008 as the Pos Malaysia Football Club when the team was first registered with the Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA), the club subsequently competed in the KLFA Premier League in the same year and gave a good account of itself in its debut year.

Very shortly, the following year in 2009, Pos Malaysia FC competed in the Malaysia FAM Cup, the third-tier of the Malaysian Football League. Thus far for the modest but highly ambitious club, past accolades include becoming champion of the Malaysia FAM Cup in 2009 and successfully winning promotion to the Malaysia Premier League in 2010.

In 2014, the club changed its name to DRB-HICOM Football Club, to better reflect the synergy with the Group’s brand and also to allow the team to leverage on the international presence of the Group’s growing portfolio of products and services.
