Outside: From the Redwoods is the second live album released by soft rock singer Kenny Loggins. Released in 1993, it is the recording of his 1992 concert held "outside" from a venue located within a stand of giant redwood trees. It features reworked versions of many of his songs, both from his solo work and his work in Loggins and Messina. Michael McDonald gives a guest performance on a reworked version of the classic they co-wrote, "What a Fool Believes", and R&B singer Shanice gives guest performances on "I Would Do Anything" and "Love Will Follow".[2]
Background
Outside: From the Redwoods was the second live album for Kenny Loggins. A concert was videotaped at the Shakespeare Santa Cruz Stanley-Sinsheimer Festival Glen in June 1993, and includes some songs that do not appear on the album (such as "Forever"). Broadcast on PBS, the videotape was nominated for an Emmy in the Best Mixing category for 1994.[3]
