Mount Nathan is a small outer suburb of the Gold Coast in South East Queensland, Australia. It is situated in the Gold Coast hinterland. At the 2011 Australian Census the suburb recorded a population of 1,124.[1]
Demographics
In the 2011 census, Mount Nathan recorded a population of 1,124 people, 49.5% female and 50.5% male. The median age of the Mount Nathan population was 40 years, 3 years above the national median of 37. 77.2% of people living in Mount Nathan were born in Australia. The other top responses for country of birth were England 6.7%, New Zealand 5.3%, Netherlands 0.8%, Sri Lanka 0.7%, Germany 0.4%. 93.2% of people spoke only English at home; the next most common languages were 0.4% Tagalog, 0.4% German, 0.4% French, 0.3% Dutch, 0.3% Danish.
