Horton, Howell County, Missouri

Horton is an unincorporated community in Howell County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.^[1]

History

Horton was platted in 1883, and named after George Horton, a railroad official.^[2] A variant name was "Cordz".^[1] A post office called Cordz was established in 1886, and remained in operation until 1914.^[3]
