Olympic House

The Hong Kong Olympic House, originally named Sports House. The House is in the Hong Kong Stadium, So Kon Po in Causeway Bay. Which opened in 1994.The Sports House was the Administration Centre of Sports. There are now 44 Local Sports Association office there.

History

In December 2004, the Sports House was administered by the Sports Committee of Hong Kong. The Office of Sports Committee of Hong Kong, China also resides at the Sports House. Besides offices, there are also many convention and meeting facilities available. The Committee will holds exhibitions and seminars about Hong Kong sports.

On 11 July 2005, Jacques Rogge, The Chairman of International Olympic Committee, and Timothy Fok, the Chairman of Olympic Committee held the Olympic House Opening Ceremony. The IOC has permitted the use of the official emblem of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Olympic Games. This event means that Hong Kong will host the equestrian events at the Hong Kong Sports Institute in Fo Tan, Sha Tin and be one of the Olympic Cities in the world.
