Hansford is an unincorporated community in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. Hansford is located along the Kanawha River and West Virginia Route 61 1 mile (1.6 km) southwest of Pratt. Hansford has a post office with ZIP code 25103.[2]
History
The Hansford post office [3] was originally named the Paintcreek. Paintcreek was the original community[4] now called Hansford. The present name most likely was named after the local Hansford family.[5]
