Goran Karačić;[1] born 18 August 1996) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Turkish club Adanaspor and the Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 national team.

Club career

Karačić began his football career at Zrinjski.

On 21 July 2016, Karačić signed a four-year contract with the Turkish club Adanaspor.[2] On 27 August 2016 Karačić made his debut for Adanaspor against Kasımpaşa. A match that ended in a draw, 1-1.[3]

International career

Karačić is currently a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 national team. He has throughout the years represented all of the youth categories.

On 18 May 2016, Karačić was called up to Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.[4] Unfortunately he had to leave the camp due to an injury he suffered in a training session, just before the departure to Japan. Bosnia and Herzegovina later went to win Kirin Cup 2016 after knocking out Denmark in the semi-finals and winning against the host Japan in the final, at the beautiful Suita City Football Stadium in Osaka.[5]

Personal life

Goran is the youngest of the Karačić-brothers. His older brothers Ivan Karačić and Igor Karačić are both professional handball players. Ivan is representing Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Igor is playing for Croatia.
