Eston is a town in Snipe Lake Rural Municipality No. 259, Saskatchewan, Canada. The population was 1031 at the 2011 Census. The town is located at the junction of Highway 30 and Highway 44 approximately 70 km south-east of Kindersley.
Demographics
In 2011, Eston had a population of 1031 living in 507 dwellings, a 6.2% increase from 2006. The town had a land area of 357.2 km2 (137.9 sq mi) and a population density of 2.72/km2 (7.0/sq mi).[5]
Climate
Eston experiences a semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification BSk) with long, cold, dry winters and short but very warm summers. Precipitation is very low, with an annual average of 297mm, and is heavily concentrated in the warmer months.
