Družstevná pri Hornáde
Družstevná pri Hornáde is a relatively new village and municipality in Košice-okolie District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.
History
Originally three separate villages: Malá Vieska, Kostoľany nad Hornádom and Tepličany. They were combined administratively during the Soviet era to form Družstevná (the name is derived from "Jednotné roľnícke družstvo" - type of agricultural cooperative, common during Socialist era). The three villages each retain their own identity, e.g. each having their own church. Kostoľany nad Hornádom became independent municipality in 2003, since then Družstevná pri Hornáde consists only of Malá Vieska and Tepličany.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 258 metres and covers an area of 16.466 km². The municipality has a population of about 2185 people. River Hornád flows through the village.
