Death Note: New Generation is a live-action miniseries based on the manga series Death Note written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It is a sequel to Death Note 2: The Last Name (2006) and a prequel to Death Note: Light Up the New World (2016).[1][2][3]
Plot
Set after the events of the previous films and before the events of 2016 film, the three-part miniseries bridges the ten year gap between the previous films and the 2016 film. The series shows the past of Tsukuru Mishima, Ryūzaki and Yūki Shien; the three lead characters of Death Note: Light Up the New World.
