Crater is an unincorporated community in Inyo County, California.[1] It is located in the Last Chance Range 19 miles (31 km) northwest of Ubehebe Crater,[2] at an elevation of 5305 feet (1617 m).[1]
Crater has been noted for its unusual place name.[3]
