Allenhouse Institute of Technology (AHIT) was established in 2009 as a private engineering college in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow. It is managed under the auspices of the Superhouse Education Foundation.^[2] AHIT was awarded The Times Education Excellence Award for Best Upcoming Engineering College in Kanpur by Retd. Sr. I.P.S. Officer Dr. Kiran Bedi.

History

AHIT owes its existence to the chairman, Mukhtarul Amin.^[3] It is one of the growing technical institutes in east Uttar Pradesh under the umbrella of the Superhouse Education Foundation.

AHIT is located on National Highway-2, 16 km east of Kanpur, spans across 12.5 acres.^[1] It is easy to commute and has the most vibrant and perennial campus with separate Auditorium, HR rooms, Interview rooms and Hi-Tech digital classrooms with video conferencing facility.

Admissions are carried out through Uttar Pradesh State level Entrance Examination (UPSEE) conducted by State Technical University (UPTU).

AHIT is well equipped with air conditioned digital classrooms and interactive boards powered by HCL including video conferencing facility.The college has state of art laboratories and workshops with spacious conference rooms and auditorium. Besides having a central library institute also provides infirmary for first aid treatment and emergency medical care.A well planned transportation facility for faculties, staff and students commuting across the city and nearby areas. Allenhouse Institute Of Technology organizes its annual fest SYNERGY^[4] which includes various technical literary and cultural events.The festival includes music, drama, games and quizzing.A departmental fest by the name of TARANG is also organized every year by Electronics and Communication Engineering department.

Management

SEF is a leading educational group of North India. Mukhtarul Amin, the Chairman and Managing Director of Superhouse Group, is the President of S.E.F. The S.E.F. was established and registered in the year 1996 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It started its first school in 1999. It gradually expanded through organic and inorganic growth during last 14 years. At present the S.E.F. is running 10 schools and an Engineering College.
