The Youth Mao Zedong Statue is located in Orange Isle, Changsha, Hunan, China. The monument stands 32 m tall and depicts Mao Zedong's head. In 2007 the Hunan People's Government began building it, two years later the statue was finished. It took more than 8000 pieces of granite, which were mined from Fujian.[1][2]
