Wirdum (West Frisian: Wurdum) is a village in Leeuwarden in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1236 in 2005.
St-Martin's village church had been a tufa building in the 12th century. In the 13th century the nave was enlarged and is a brick buildung since then. In the 14th century a tower was added on the south side. The nave was alterated in Baroque style, the tower in the 19th century.[1]
