William James Kendle (9 April 1847 30 January 1920) was an English cricketer. Kendle was a right-handed batsman.

Kendle made his first-class debut for Hampshire against the Marylebone Cricket Club in 1869. Kendle next represented the county in 1875 against Sussex. In 1878 Kendle represented Hampshire in three first-class matches, with Kendle's final appearance for the county coming against Kent. Kendle scored 66 runs at an average of 7.33, with a high score of 29.

Kendle died at Woodsford, Dorset on 30 January 1920.

Family

Kendle's uncle Charles Kendle represented Hampshire in two first-class matches as well as representing Wiltshire in the Minor Counties Championship.
