The WWE SmackDown Road to WrestleMania 22 Tour was a professional wrestling televised event held by World Wrestling Entertainment and which took place at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand on March 4, 2006. The event was taped and later aired on WWE 24/7 in the United States.
The event was attended by 23,875. To date this is the only taped WWE event which has been held in New Zealand and also only the second one held in the Southern Hemisphere (Not true, WWE has taped shows in Australia and South Africa).
Background
The main event heading into the event was between the World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle and his two challengers Mark Henry and The Undertaker.
