History
92.5 was WHOS-FM in the 1950s in Decatur. They moved to 102.1 in 1959 (and was WMSL-FM for a short period). In 1992 the 92.5 frequency returned with a classic rock format as WAZK. In 1995 the station went to a "Mix" format as WMHX. In 1995 the station became WWXQ and soon became part of Clear Channel. It was acquired by Cumulus Media from Clear Channel Communications in April 2006, as part of a two-station deal that also included 94.1 WXQW (which is now WHRP). When owned by Clear Channel, the 92.5 and 94.1 signals were simulcasting an oldies music format; Clear Channel moved that station to 100.3 FM, with the callsign WQRV. The station was assigned the WVNN-FM call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on April 6, 2006.[1]
