WRHI is a news/talk radio station in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It broadcasts on AM frequency 1340 with a simulcast on 94.3 FM (via translator W232AX) and is under ownership of Our Three Sons (OTS) Broadcasting, LLP. Its studios and transmitter are both located separately in Rock Hill.
Awards
WRHI AM/FM is a seven-time winner of the South Carolina Broadcasters Association Radio Station of the Year award. Since 2000, WRHI has been honored with 90 "Star Awards" from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, becoming the most honored station in South Carolina History.
Affiliations
Throughout the day, WRHI carries Fox News Radio's 5-minute service at the top of every hour and local news and weather. ABC News' 1-minute update is carried at the bottom of each hour. WRHI is one of few radio stations across the country to be affiliated with more than one major radio news network. Local news is gathered with the local news staff, television partner WSOC-TV and the South Carolina Radio Network.
WRHI broadcasts the audio portion of the local newscast of Charlotte's WSOC-TV from 6:00 to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Sports
WRHI is the radio home of the Winthrop University men's basketball. The station also carries Clemson University and University of South Carolina football and basketball games and coaches' call-in shows. Selected Coastal Carolina University football games are carried as well.
WRHI also carries Rock Hill High School, Northwestern High School, and South Pointe High School football and basketball games as well as Fort Mill High School, Clover High School, Lancaster High School, Nation Ford and York High School football games.
