Volume Interactions Pte Ltd

Volume Interactions Pte Ltd was a company that pioneered in the 1990s the use of virtual surgery planning.[1][2] This was done by means of its product the Dextroscope, which used Virtual Reality technology (a two-handed 3D user interface, stereoscopic displays) to provide a natural interface to plan surgical approaches[3][4][5] for patients using multi-modality 3D medical images. The company was a spin-off company from the Kent Ridge Digital Labs research institute in Singapore. The company was founded in 2000 in Singapore and acquired by the Bracco Group in 2002. Volume Interactions ceased commercial operations in 2008.
