Vice Chief of Army Staff (India)
The Vice Chief of the Army Staff is second in command of the Indian Army next to Chief of the Army Staff. He is responsible for operation and army related tasks. As of August 2015, the post was held by Lt Gen M M S Rai, succeeding Lieutenant general Philip Campose. [1]
