US Country was a channel on XM Satellite Radio, channel 17, that played 80s and 90s Country.

Original logo, used until late 2006.

When Clear Channel Communications, which programs Nashville!, decided to add commercials to it in April 2006, XM retaliated by adding US Country and replacing Nashville! with this channel on AOL Radio, XM Radio Online, XM Canada and on DirecTV.

On November 12th, 2008 as part of the consolidation of music channels on Sirius XM Radio, US Country was replaced with Prime Country.

Strait Country

Between 2008-04-01 and 2008-05-31, the channel featured the music of country singer George Strait 24/7, temporarily pre-empting normal programming on the channel.[1] This was the third XM single artist mirco-channel; however, this was the first one to replace or pre-empt a current channel.
