Trichrome stain

A Trichrome stain is a stain including three colored components. See Trichrome article for more information. It is a general name for a number of techniques for the selective demonstration of muscle, collagen fibers, fibrin and erythrocytes.

Three dyes are employed, one of which may be a nuclear stain.
