History

from:

The league began with the 1973-74 sports season.

Britton, Deerfield, Madison, Ann Arbor St. Thomas, Summerfield and Whitmore Lake were charter members. St. Thomas (now Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard) left after three years. Whiteford and Sand Creek joined in 1975-76. Morenci joined in 1981-82. Clinton joined in 2007-08. Britton and Deerfield combined all sports starting with the 2009-10 sports season, although they already were combining some sports for several years. Their districts combined on July 1, 2011 into the Britton-Deerfield School District.[2]
