Thomas Lemar (born 12 November 1995) is a French footballer who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Monaco.[1] He plays as a center midfielder.

Club Career

Caen

Lemar made his Ligue 2 debut in the opening game of the 2013–14 season on 2 August 2013 replacing Jérôme Rothen after 78 minutes in Caen's 3–1 home win over Dijon FCO.

Monaco

On 22 November 2016, Lemar scored the winning goal with a strike through the legs of defender Kieran Trippier right after Djibril Sidibé's cross had reached him in the penalty box in the 53rd minute, to enable Monaco to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at home in the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League group stage Group E matchday 5 match and ensure that Monaco would finish on top of Group E at the conclusion of the group matches on 7 Dec.[2]

International Career

Lemar was called up to the senior France squad to face Sweden and Ivory Coast in November 2016 after Kingsley Coman withdrew through injury.[3] He made his debut on 15 November against the latter, replacing Adrien Rabiot for the final 12 minutes of a 0–0 home draw.[4]
