Theepachelvan (Tamil தீபச்செல்வன்) (real name is pratheepan) (born 24 October 1983) is a Sri Lankan Tamil writer, poet and freelance journalist.
Importantly recording the 4 th stage of the war that has taken place in Sri Lanka, he is composing poems with the similar disposition and documenting the anguish people have been undergoing post war -as naked reports collected on the baseline. Is also interested in photography and documentary film making.
Started Writing at an early age, he has been Recording strongly the feelings of the Lankan Tamils through dialogues with the affected ones in the war region and made impressions of the woes, in all forms of literature, poetry and prose. Being a much published author he has made his contributions in almost all popular and seriously composed journals of literature and international affairs -is also blogging under the aegis, 'Theepam'.
His poetry is full of catastrophic voices that upsurge the debris created with the demise of the bodies charred and entangled into the pits made by the Sinhala fascist junta and its inexorable militancy. They cry for loss of lives and bloodline and the pains of migration and temporariness. The images of his poems are stark that even a malleable situation where the lovers meet is the place rammed with guns dangling on trees. Loss of natural habitats is not just meant for the human beings but for the animals too. The dreams spring out of death is a product of the abduction of lives that has no willingness to conformism, conformism that will not permit an ethnic group diachronically sabotaging the lives, landmark and culture of the mighty Tamil civilisation ravaging it at gun point.
Received the best media personality award by the srillankan literary organisation in 2010, he has also been rewarded with the best poetry award by kanaiyazhi in 2013.in 2008–09 he has been a student wing secretary for the forum of Jaffna university students, awarded the bachelor's degree in Jaffna university and is currently serving as a visiting faculty for the same university.

These verses deal with catastrophic voices that upsurge the debris created with the demise of the bodies charred and entangled into the pits made by the Sinhala fascist junta and its inexorable militancy. The existence has become pandemonium that youngsters and children practice their funs and frolic within uncertainty sagging on their heads as swords. It is a kind of Camus's meaninglessness and uncertainty. These poems beautifully bring together the stripes of the people of all directions north, east, west and south as these geographical locations in silence bear a lot of political semblance; Life depicted in all directions and all time space. What is important in theepachelvan's work is that it is a continuum of works starting from early Tamil writers from Sri Lanka which depicts an unchanging picture, time immemorial. When temples are need to be protected wars became imminent was the condition in which civil war got escalated in Sri Lanka.Theepachelvan's works are far from fiction and remain documents of austere reality. In 2007 many works in relation to vanni and the war fought out in that wilderness region have become the chief theme of his poems which have been published in Theepaam, a blog created by him and Thinnai a web literati journal and Uyirmai, a major Tamil literati journal.Uyirmai brought out his major work 'The Beast consumed Man less city 'in the same year as well as composed a major one on Jaffna, The Daybreak of the Deserted city. His aftermath work containing Eelam in discourse and fiction was published by Tholamai publishers. The book contains interviews by Shobha shakthi and Gowthama siddarthan.
