The history of thatichetlapalam is, approximately 1969-1986 this place is called as thatipeeta which is located and connected to national highway-5 and contains lot of indian palm trees(tatichettlu). The major business is 'kallu' (palm wine) which gives lot of kik like wine. People who were travelling through by this highway, they use to take rest and take palm wine here. After 1986 in NTR ruling, it converted into thatichetlapalam. Now thatichetlaplam have all the facilities. Now mostly locality people involved in as vegetable sellers, auto drivers, daily labours, and few govt. and private sector employees. Thatichetlapalm is famous for the 2nd tallest Hanuman statue in andhra pradesh. Transportation facilities are wide to tatichetlapalm. It’s just 1 km from main railway station, 4 km from city bus complex, 5 km from city airport, 10 km from city sea port. More than 10 schools located in this area for local children. Most of this locality is govt note registered and not vuda approved. Its costs around 35000 per square yard (2015).
