Thales-Raytheon Systems Company LLC (ThalesRaytheonSystems or TRS) is an aerospace and defence company co-headquartered in Massy, Paris, France and Fullerton, California, United States, and a 50:50 joint venture between Raytheon and Thales Group. ThalesRaytheon was formed in June, 2001, for the purpose of combining the radar and Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence or C4I systems efforts of the two firms.
History
Thales S.A. and Raytheon Company announced the creation of Thales Raytheon Systems on 16 December 2000.[3]
At the time of its creation Thales Raytheon Systems had a world market share of around 40 percent in the provision of air defense command and control centers, air defense radars and battlefield surveillance systems.[3]
