Texahomakan Country Music Festival

Texahomakan Country Music Festival was created by Jeremy Berry of Steel Horse Entertainment when approached by dirt track race promotor and owner of Caney Valley Speedway Kerry Gorby about putting on a concert. Berry wanted to come up with a name that stuck out in people's minds, and since he was looking at booking some of the best bands from Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas he came up with Texahomakan. Texahomakan debut date is June 21–22, 2013 with pioneers of red dirt The Great Divide, Cody Canada & The Departed (former members of Cross Canadian Ragweed), The Legend Brandon Jenkins Curtis Grimes, Bo Phillips Band, 2 Steps Back, Chad Sullins & The Last Call Coalition, Chance Anderson Band, Jody Schmidt Band, Riders Ford, and Longshot.

Located at the Caney Valley Speedway in the heartland of America in Caney, KS. we just figured Caney was a great location for red dirt fans of the U.S. to come and enjoy the best red dirt, Texas country, and outlaw country music out there. Caney being around 2 hours north east of Stillwater, OK. what most would say is the birthplace of red dirt music thanks to bands like The Great Divide, Red Dirt Rangers, Bob Childers, Tom Skinner, and so many others.
