Tang Shi (footballer)

Tang Shi (simplified Chinese: 唐诗; traditional Chinese: 唐詩; pinyin: Táng Shī; born 24 January 1995) is an Chinese football player who plays as Winger for Portuguese club Paços de Ferreira in Primeira Liga and China national under-20 football team.^[1]

Club career

Early Career

Tang was born in Wuhan, China on 24 January 1995.^[2]He started his football career with Chinese club Shandong Luneng until 2014. In 2014, at the age of 17, Brazil side club Botafogo wanted him and dealing between Botafogo and Shandong was done in May 2014.^[3][4] From 9 to 17 January 2015, at the age of 20, Tang had a trial with Real Madrid Castilla thanks to a partnership between Real Madrid and Botafogo in youth training.^[5]However, he remained at Botafogo.

Gondomar SC

On 29 July 2015, Tang transferred to Portuguese club Gondomar.^[6] He made his Campeonato de Portugal debut on 23 August 2015 against Vila Real at Estádio de São Miguel which Gondomar won by 3-0. In this match, he played as a starting line-up, playing 70 minutes until he was substituted with Tiago Gomes.^[7] He planted himself in the team by playing all games (18 games) in the Serie C and scoring 9 goals including 2 penalty goals. Gondomar owed finishing the top place in the group and advencement to the Promotion round to his performance. Even though his team failed in the promotion, the performance that Tang showed was great.

Paços de Ferreira

On 1 July 2016, He moved to Paços de Ferreira on a free transfer.^[8] He made his debut for Paços de Ferreira on 25 October 2016 against C.D. Nacional at Estádio da Mata Real in Taça da Liga which The Beavers won by 4-0. In this match, Tang played as a starting line-up and played full-time game.^[9]

International career

He was a member of China national under-20 football team for 2014 AFC U-19 Championship.^[10] He played 4 games and scored 1 goal in the competition. China U19 finished the competition as one of the top eight.
