Talisman Dance Company

Talisman Dance Company (sometimes called Talisman) is an American professional belly-dance troupe, based in San Diego, California.

Formed in 2006, it specializes in the Raqs Sharqi (cabaret) and fusion styles of belly dance. The company is often accompanied by the San Diego-based Middle-Eastern group Midnight Debke.

Principal dancers

Its artistic director is Heather Wells. There are two other principal dancers, Elizabeth Yeatts and Laura Hunter. The company also has "apprentice dancers" who perform with it and are training to become principal dancers.

Performances

Since its inception, the company has performed at a variety of festivals and entertainment venues throughout Southern California and Baja California Peninsula. It has performed at Alma Paradiso, Renaissance fairs and a number of coffee houses and restaurants in San Diego and Los Angeles.
