Sufi Order Ināyati Silsila

All Sufi orders have their own Silsila (Chain of Transmission). Below is that of the Sufi Order Ināyati up to Hazrat Inayat Khan.

The representation of the Chain of Transmission is called the "Shajara" ("Tree"). The Shajara which appears here is that of Hazrat Inayat Khan's primary spiritual lineage, the Chishti Order, though he was also initiated into the Suhrawardi, Naqshbandi and Qadiri Sufi orders.

Silsila's always begin with God, so the 'Shajara' will begin with the name Allah, but in the Universal Sufi context this should not be confined to the concept of Allah within Islam, but should be seen as Universal Intelligence. The Sufi Order International 'shajra' is in fact derived until Hazrat Inayat Khan, from the Chishti-Nizami line of traditional Chishti Sufism but branches off later, on its own thereafter.
