Stenoma macroptycha is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1930. It is found in Panama.[1]
The wingspan is 32-35 mm. The forewings are dark glossy purplish-brown, the costal fold somewhat lighter and without purple gloss. In the disc, before and above the middle, is a roundish spot of brown apparently erectile hairscales. The second discal stigma is minute and grey-whitish and the costal edge is shortly pale grayish-ochreous beyond the end of the fold. The hindwings are grey.[2]
