Standard Aero Corporation (c.1911)
Standard Aero Corporation (c.1911) is a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider based in Scottsdale, AZ.
The company began as Standard Machine Works, a automotive engine repair shop by William S. Bickell and Charles F. Pearce in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1911, but later branched out to aerospace.[1] The company merged with Landmark Aviation in 2007 and moved the corporate head office to the United States,[2] but main operations of the company continue to be in Winnipeg.
The company is not related to the Standard Aircraft Corporation, which was formed in 1916 and ceased operations in 1931 as New Standard Aircraft Company.
