Sophie Campbell[1] is a comic writer and artist known for her indie comics such as Wet Moon and Shadoweyes. She primarily writes and draws characters who are adolescent or young adult women, including various races, body types, sexual orientations, and abilities.
Biography
Campbell is the creator of several graphic novels, including The Abandoned,[2] Mountain Girl, Shadoweyes,[3] Wet Moon, and Water Baby.
Campbell drew the story "The Hollows" for the first issue of the DC/Vertigo comic House of Mystery written by Bill Willingham.
From June 2009 to March 2013, then known as Ross Campbell, she was a co-host on AudioShocker's "A Podcast with Ross and Nick", and as of June 2013, was a co-host on the podcast "Everything Blows with Ross and Nick".[4]
In March 2015, identifying herself as Sophie Campbell, she stated on Twitter that she is a transgender woman, and had been transitioning for the previous year.[5]
In March 2015, she became the artist for a new Jem and the Holograms series published by IDW.
