Sony Entertainment Television was a cable and satellite TV channel, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Asia-Pacific. It was launched on 1 August 2008, Sony Entertainment Television Asia was a 24/7 English general entertainment channel for women and it features programmes that are "wickedly juicy" content from SPE Networks – Asia, which owns and operates four cable and satellite channels AXN Asia, BeTV, Animax Asia, and SET One, and is part of Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI). SET Asia was devoted to serving the interests of discerning, urban career women. This trendsetting channel provides smart entertainment – sexy, chic, sophisticated and witty shows – with strong female leads, and features a variety of programme genres such as lifestyle, drama, comedy and reality. It was available in throughout the 18 countries around the Asia-Pacific region (Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand).

Delivering top-notch, first-run programmes and all-time-favourites from the U.S., SET was launched in Singapore on SingTel's mio TV platform in July 2007. SET is hosted too on now TV platform in Hong Kong. In the Philippines, simultaneously channel that was launched in Dream Satellite TV and Cignal Digital TV in October 2009.

For Philippines and Malaysia viewers, shared selected programmes from SET Southeast Asia was recently shown on BeTV (formerly known as AXN Beyond) since December 4, 2010.

Subscribers in Singapore via SingTel mio TV the channel has ceased the transmssion from 15 October 2014 at 12:00 midnight while East Asia (including BeTV in the Philippines) had a big changes from the same day, Sony Entertainment Television South East Asia will be rebranded as Sony Channel.
