Skin Diamond (born Raylin Christensen;[1] February 18, 1987) is an American-Scottish pornographic actress and nude model.

Early life

Diamond was born in Ventura, California.[3] She moved to Scotland when she was about three or four years old and lived there for twenty years.[4] She was raised in Dunfermline where her parents moved as missionaries.[5] Her father is American actor Rodd Christensen, who is known in the UK for playing Spencer in children's series Balamory. She appeared in the series as a child, alongside her only sister, Heather.[1][6]

Career

Diamond started her career as a mainstream model and posed, among others, for Louis Vuitton and American Apparel.[7][8][9] She entered the adult film industry in 2009 and did her first scenes with Joanna Angel and James Deen for Burning Angel.[3]

In 2012, Diamond posed for comic book artist David Mack, who portrayed her as Echo in the Marvel Comics miniseries Daredevil: End of Days.[10] In 2013 she posed for photographer Terry Richardson.[11]

Diamond has also dabbled into the music industry with her 2013 song/music video, "Sex in a Slaughter House".[12]

In 2014, Diamond was on CNBC's list of "The Dirty Dozen: Porn's Most Popular Stars".[13] Diamond also starred (with Allie Haze) in the music video for American hip hop recording artist B.o.B, for his song "John Doe", which features Priscilla Renea.[14][15]

Diamond was the Penthouse Pet of the Month for July 2014.[16] That same year, she made her directorial debut with the film Skin Diamond's Dollhouse for Deviant Entertainment.[16]

Diamond was cast in the role of Dylan Quinn in the Showtime series Submission in 2016.

Personal life

Diamond has several tattoos, including a Phoenix on her back, which she got to cover an accidental burn.[2] She also has piercings in her navel, right nostril, and both nipples.[17] She is also well known for her distinctive shaved-on-one-side haircut; because of this, she has been featured in the column "Beauty Showdown" in the magazine Cosmopolitan.[18] When she first entered the adult film industry, her hair was pink.[3]

Diamond identifies as bisexual.[4]
