Sarah Crossan

Sarah Crossan is an Irish author. She is best known for her books for young adults, including Apple and Rain and One, for which she has won several awards.

Biography

Crossan graduated from Warwick University in 1999 with a degree in Philosophy and Literature and later obtained a master's degree in Creative Writing. She received an Edward Albee Fellowship for writing in 2010.[1]

Awards

For One, a verse novel about conjoined sisters, Crossan won the The Bookseller's 2016 prize for young adult fiction in 2016,[2] the Irish Children's Book of the Year[3] and the Carnegie Medal.[4]

The Weight of Water and Apple and Rain were shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal.
