The Rye House at 122-132 Old Mount Tom Rd. in Litchfield, Connecticut was built in 1910. The main house was designed by architect Wilson Eyre; a cottage was designed by Wilder and White. The property includes Tudor Revival and Bungalow/craftsman architecture.[3] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The listing included three contributing buildings, one contributing structure and one contributing site on 52 acres (21 ha).[1]

The Tudor mansion contains 18 rooms totaling 10,127 square feet.[4] It includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool and tennis court.[4] Recent owners have included actress and model Karen Kopins Shaw, Miss Connecticut 1977.[4] In 2014, it was reported that Anderson Cooper and his partner, Benjamin Maisani bought the home for between $5 and $9 million.[4]
