Ron Mathias
Ronald Matthias known as "The Terminator" is an American professional basketball player & street ball legend. He is considered one of the top 50 streetballers of all time.[1]
Family
Matthias has a son, Quinton Hosley who is also a professional basketball player.[2]
College
After playing at Evander Child`s High School in the Bronx, he played for a number of colleges including Trinidad Community College, Westchester Community College, and Palm Beach Junior College. In his first game at Palm Beach, he scored 51 points.[3] He ended up averaging 41 points per game before leaving the school.[4]
Streetball
Matthias was known to play in games for up to $1000 per game.[4] He was a regular at Rucker Park Basketball tournaments & he has the most championships in EBC history. [5] His off the court issues limited his professional career.[6] He once scored 81 points on future NBA players Mark Jackson and Walter Berry of St. John's University.[7]
Professional
He played for the Miami Tropics of the United States Basketball League.[4] He also played for the Palm Beach Stingrays.[8] He was cut from the Albany Patroons.[9]
