Robert Neil Innes (born 1959) is an Anglican bishop. Since 2014, he has been the Bishop in Europe.

Life

Church of St Mary Magdalene

Innes was born in 1959 and studied engineering at Cambridge University. He worked in the electric power industry until 1989 when he trained at St John's College in Durham. In 1995 he became both a doctor and a deacon. He was a lecturer at St John’s College until 1999 when he was appointed as vicar of St Mary Magdalene Church in Belmont.[1]

Innes has been working at the Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe since 2005. He was appointed as bishop in 2014; he was consecrated as a bishop on 20 July 2014 at Canterbury Cathedral by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury (with co-consecrators Richard Chartres, Bishop of London and Tim Dakin, Bishop of Winchester) and installed at the cathedral on 4 September 2014.[2] He is based in Brussels.[3]
