Richard Campion (theatre director)

Richard Campion (13 December 1923 – 2 July 2013) was a New Zealand theatre director.[1] He founded the New Zealand Players, New Zealand's first professional theatre company, with his wife and co-founder Edith Campion.[1][2][3] Since 2004, he was an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit. The screenwriter, producer, and director Jane Campion is his daughter.
