Richard Fowler is an American radio show host, media personality, and political activist. Fowler is the host of the nationally syndicated liberal talk radio program, The Richard Fowler Show. Fowler also serves as the Interim Director of Generational Alliance, a liberal youth engagement organization.[1] Richard Fowler is also a Fox News Contributor.[2]

Early life, education, and career

Fowler was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He volunteered on numerous local races in Florida, including former Attorney General Janet Reno’s gubernatorial campaign.

Fowler attended George Washington University as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs and Economics in 2008, going on to obtain a Master's Certification in Project Management from Georgetown University in 2010. Fowler was active in student activities, serving on the George Washington University Student Association and as President of GW ASSIST.[3]

From registering and organizing more than a thousand young voters in Florida for the NAACP, to being a campaign manager in the District of Columbia, Fowler has advised youth, minority and female candidates. Fowler has been a featured speaker at the Center For American Progress, National Council of La Raza’s National Conference, College Democrats of America, United States Student Association, the American Councils for International Education, the Young Democrats of America, Energy Action Coalition PowerShift Conference,[4] the Microsoft Policy Solution Center, over twenty different foreign delegations, and numerous colleges and universities.

Fowler served as the Policy and Advocacy Director for the Young Democrats of America from 2011 to 2013.[5][6] Fowler was a 2012 Democratic National Convention delegate for the state of Virginia.[7] In 2012, Fowler co-founded Richard Media Company, a boutique messaging, public relations, and production outfit based in Washington, D.C., with The Richard Fowler Show producer Rich Webster.

From 2011 to 2013 Fowler worked at the DC Public Charter School Board.[8]

The Richard Fowler Show

The Richard Fowler Show is a nationally syndicated weekly liberal radio show that can be heard in over 8.1 million homes.[9][10] The Richard Fowler Show is also a partner in the TYT Network, a multi-channel network on YouTube, specializing in political talk shows, run by The Young Turks.[11] The Richard Fowler Show is the youngest nationally syndicated liberal and/or African American radio show in the United States.

Radio and television appearances

Aside from his work hosting The Fowler Show, Fowler is a political commentator. Fowler has appeared on Fox News,[12][13][14] MSNBC,[15] Fox Business,[16] and C-SPAN,[17] in addition to international outlets such as RT, CTV, CCTV,[18] NDTV, NHK, Al Jazeera English and ITV, as well as local outlets across the country. Fowler was also a regular fill-in morning anchor on Current TV[19] and a guest host of The Big Picture with Thom Hartmann on RT.[20] On October 31, 2013, Fowler appeared on Politicking with Larry King to discuss the topic "Did The U.S. Spy On Its Allies?" alongside Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA-28) and Rep. Lee Terry (R-NE-2).[21]
