Rich Taylor is the Iowa State Senator from the 42nd District. A Democrat, he has served in the Iowa Senate since 2013.[1] Taylor was born and raised in Mount Union, Iowa, and currently resides near Mount Pleasant, Iowa.[1]
As of June 2016, Taylor serves on the following committees: Agriculture, Economic Growth, Human Resources, Judiciary, and Local Government.[1] He also serves on the Justice System Appropriations Subcommittee, as well as the Local Government Mandates Study Committee, the Child Support Advisory Committee, and the Mississippi River Partnership Council.[1]
