Puruesh Chaudhary

Puruesh Chaudhary (born January 26, 1983)[1] is a futures researcher, development and strategic narrative professional.[2][3][4] She has a professional master’s degree in International Negotiation and Policymaking from Institut De Hautes Études Internationales Et Du Développement in Geneva.[5]She is a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI); Established in 1973, ISSI is an autonomous, non-profit research and analyses organization.[6]The Graduate Institute, Geneva - Executive Master in International Negotiation and Policy Making.

Chaudhary has been featured amongst the World’s top female futurists.[7][8][9] She has worked with multilateral donors[10] and aid agencies,[11][12][13] governmental sectors, news organizations[14][15] and multinationals in Pakistan. She is the Founder and President of AGAHI,[16][17][18][19][20][21] a non-governmental organization, which works extensively on creating platforms based on knowledge collaboration and information sharing initiatives. The Pakistan Foresight Initiative,[22][23][24][25][26] of the AGAHI develops frameworks aimed at improving policymaking and strategic narratives; structures enabling legislators, strategists, academicians and the community developing shared understanding for effective implementation of decisions. Chaudhary has produced foresight research compilation on the Future of Pakistan up to 2060[27][28][29][30] and is a published co-author for ‘The Future of Business’[31] a critical insight on rapidly changing world.[32][33] Championing “Shaping the future of journalism”,[34][35][36][37][38][39] Puruesh has co-founded Pakistan’s annual journalism awards (The Agahi Awards);[40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47] content analysis framework (Media Credibility Index and Ethical Media Audit);[48][49][50] created foresight research fellowship opportunities with the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies of Quaid-e-Azam University,[16][20][21][51] The China Study Center of COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology;[52] and developed academic-industry linkages. The Center of International Media Ethics’ honored her to serve as its Ambassador to Pakistan campaigning for quality journalism in the country.[53]

Chaudhary is currently Member Board of Advisors for CIME[54] and is a Mentor for UN-Habitat Youth Fund Programme.[55] Puruesh continues to train and mentor journalists all across Pakistan on values and ethics.[56][57][58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68] Puruesh is an alumna of the National Defence University[1][69] and serves as a Committee Member on Media and Outreach, Recognized as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum, she is an ASPEN alumna,[70] a member of the World Futures Society and is on the Planning Committee of the Millennium-Project (Global Futures Studies and Research) representing the Pakistan Chair.[71][72]
