PlanetHPC was a European network linking the major players in high-performance computing from the scientific and business sectors with EU policymakers, aimed at drawing up a roadmap for the future development of HPC technologies in Europe.

The network is free to join and provides facilities enabling its members to share knowledge, identify shared and complementary goals and support future research challenges.

The project will run for two years between November 2009 and November 2011, producing a research roadmap report outlining research priorities for the mid- to long-term.
