Peter James Hoffer

Peter James Hoffer (born 1965) is an artist from Ontario, Canada now living in Berlin, Germany. He is credited with innovating the process of using resin varnishes to both finish and add an additional dimension to paintings. With both a visual and a conceptual element, the resin finishes add both a resolution and a visual tension to his works. Hoffer's work is primarily concerned with the history and mythology of landscape.

Hoffer's paintings can be found in several public, private, and corporate collections, including Cirque du Soleil, Musee des Beaux-Arts, Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, and ING New York City. Some notable series works include his landscape series, his Stations of the Cross series, and his abstract series.
