Paul Barbera

Paul Barbera (born September 19, 1973) is a New York City-based photographer best known for his book Where They Create.[1][2]

Early life

Paul was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. As an Australian of Italian descent, he graduated University of Melbourne’s Victoria College of Arts with a degree in fine arts in 1994. He got his major career break at the age of 24 when he submitted a quirky picture of a chair to Marie Claire in 1997.[3]

Career

His work primarily focuses on interiors[4] performing both editorial and advertising work for Vogue Living, Elle Decor.[5] Some of his notable advertising clients including Coca-Cola, Ikea and Wolf Blass.[3] He has also shown his work in galleries.[6] His work has selected for archival by the National Archives of Australia.[7]

Style

Even though his portfolio covers a large scope of work,[8] Paul primarily shoots in natural light refrains from a large setup process to leave the space as native setting[9] to capture as much as the soul and warmth of the space.[10]
