Pasuruan Regency is a regency of East Java province of Indonesia. It had a population of 1,512,468 at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate (as at 2014) is 1,554,956. At present, there are moves under way to make Bangil the new administrative centre of Pasuruan Regency, with some offices being transferred from Pasuruan city to Bangil.[1]
The Dutch name of the regency is 'Pasoeroean'.
