Park City Pioneers

The Park City Pioneers were a Senior ice hockey team based in Park City, Utah.

History

Founded in 2009, the Pioneers competed in USA Hockey’s Senior A division. Home games were played at Park City Ice Arena.[1]

Park City were members of the Mountain West Hockey League (2012–15) winning the championship in 2013. For the 2014-15 season the Pioneers joined the new Black Diamond Hockey League. After finishing with a 1-10-1 regular season record Park City were eliminated in the league semifinals by the Sun Valley Suns 10-0. It would be their last competitive game.

After six seasons the Pioneers ceased operations.[2]

The Park City Pioneers were winners of three consecutive Utah Senior State Championships (2011-2013).
